Requirements
The next step in applying for your subclass 103 Parent (Migrant) visa is fulfilling all of the eligibility requirements. There are quite a few and you are going to have to be diligent and organised when going through the application process. The entry requirements for the subclass 103 Parent (Migrant) visa are:
- be the parent of an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen.
- meet the balance of family test, which requires that at least half of the applicant’s children are Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible New Zealand citizens, or that more of their children live in Australia than in any other country.
- provide evidence of their relationship to the child, such as birth certificates and family documents.
- be sponsored by their child (who must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen).
- be outside Australia at the time of application and the time of visa grant (for some circumstances).
- not have any debt to the Australian Government.
- meet health and character requirements.
- not have already applied for or hold a Sponsored Parent (Temporary) (subclass 870) visa when applying for this visa.
