The Subclass 191 Visa is a permanent residency visa for holders of eligible skilled regional provisional visas who have lived and worked in regional Australia for at least three years. Streams

The Subclass 191 Visa does not have multiple streams. However, eligibility differs based on the type of provisional visa held:

  • provide notices of assessment issued by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) for three income years out of the five years of your eligible visa. There is no minimum income requirement
  •  have complied with the conditions of the eligible visa you hold or have held.
  • Meet the English language requirement (Competent English or higher).
  • hold a Hong Kong passport or a British National (Overseas) passport
  • meet certain visa and residence requirements.

  • Ensure you have held an eligible visa (491 or 494) for at least three years.

  • Meet the income requirement for at least three years.

  • Comply with visa conditions, including living and working in a designated regional area.
